If it can be possible to get decent support for codecs like xvid/divx/matroska and HD versions of these codecs that work well (or work at all) it would be ideal for pushing Ubuntu to do this. Imagine xine running well on a PS3. For me if Ubuntu could work flawlessly with the PS3 and do the above I would be buying one straight away. I would then have the advantage of having a great games console as well.
