I bought this. I spent over a month trying to get it to work. Anything you find online for instructions on getting this to work on a PS3 (or any Linux distro, for that matter) are spotty at best. What little that I was able to find online was mostly geared towards Gentoo Linux.

It was not even very straightforward getting it to work on my Linux PC. However, after some messing with it, and some info on http://nikosapi.org, I was able to get it to work on my Linux PC, but was still unable to get MythTV to work with it.

My advice- unless you're a Linux genius, save your $$'s. If someone could figure this out I would be forever grateful. However, I'm thinking at this point it's just a marketing scam.

This could make the PS3 a great media center PC. Anyone know where I can get one?
