Ubuntu Developers Need Your Help!
The PSUbuntu developers are working hard on making Hardy Heron work on the PS3, but being a community maintained Ubuntu-port they need your help finding and fixing bugs.
If you’ve managed to upgrade to 8.04, you’ve recompiled your kernel for the PS3, and you know how Ubuntu packaging works then you can probably help out by posting any bugs and issues you encounter to the ubuntu-ps3-port launchpad page.
If you are a developer and want to take part in psubuntu development; the ubuntu cell mailing list is the place to be. To get updated on current issues, browse through the archives and check Dan Munckton’s Status Update emails.
For instant contact with developers, use the IRC channel #ubuntu-ps3.
You’ll find more information in this forum thread.

I am trying to load Ubuntu on my PS3 in order to play NES games on sites such as virtualnes.com or firenes.com I followed the instructions as far as the black screen that said “you can just press enter” For some reason my USB keyboards “enter” key would not work so I could not move on from there. Now I can not get my PS3 off of the screen that says
Ubuntu PS3 KBoot loader
No default root fs was found, or one was found and it didn’t contain a message = config file…..
It goes on to talk about entering a shell and lists 3 various reasons as to why the install didn’t work.
What do I need to do to at least restore my PS3 to it’s original state so we can at least play PS3 games and watch DVD’s. Also what do I need to correctly install the Ubuntu OS in order to play NES games online. I’m guessing there must be a particular type of usb keyboard I need in order to speak to the PS3 while when trying to set up your OS.
Please help!
