OK I've had a ps3 since christmas, about a week ago I also got a HD TV.

Last night we bought a HDMI cable and a blu-ray movie to try it out. It was absolutely brilliant.

So I go to take it back upstairs to plug into the other tv (Not hd) via scart lead - I get no picture/audio at all.

Could this be to do with using the HDMI lead, some settings I need to adjust? Or just the scart socket in my Ps3 is broke?

The power is on, it has the green light...yet there's no picture.

Help?

Thanks.

Yes I had this same problem. Its because the ps3 is set to output for HDMI even if there is none. You could solve this by doing a hard reboot (hold the on/off green button until it beeps and the console shuts off) this would set resolution back to normal and you would have to do the same settings you did when you were first setting up your ps3. Don't worry you won't lose any game saves or anything like that.
Optionally if you still have it plugged into the HD tv, set it to display via the scart so u get no picture on the HD, then plug it into the other tv.
First way is by far the easiest, just which I had known about the hard reboot my first time......
