How to get uinput module installed?

I've got the Bluetooth PS3 BD Remote working on my laptop through python and uinput (similar to how they go the Wiimote working in Linux) but since I don't have the uinput module available on my PS3, I can't try it out.

I can't wait to get this remote to control Freevo or MythTV.

PS3 + Linux = Best media gateway ever.
