Hi all - I'm new to the PS3 Ubuntu stuff but I've been USING Ubuntu since the day it was released (literally!). I've had the YellowDog Linux distro downloaded for my PS3 for months, but never got around to installing it - and today decided to try Ubuntu instead. It looks like I'm getting the same error as everyone else in the thread here though. When it's time to scan for the CD-ROM drive, it can't find it (or it's drivers, or something). In the hope of being able to help the developers, I've also copied down the output of /proc/scsi/scsi....
Vendor: Sony
Model: PS-SYSTEM 304R
Rev: 5056
Type: CD-ROM
ANSI SCSI Revision: 00
Someone mentioned another karma-specific post. If this needs to go there, feel free to redirect it or tell me (how) to do it.

If there are any other log files that might help, I can try to get those as well.
Thanks! It looks like this distro is really coming along well!
Oh - I forgot.... I used the bootloader (is that the right term?), otheros.bld that the instructions said would allow the use of ext4 filesystem (can't remember the name at the moment - petite something maybe?). I can also try a different one for troubleshooting purposes if requested.
