Gary, you are a F***ING twit, you know that? How can you expect to get wireless working without knowing “computer lingo language”? And if your Wifi network is only 5 feet away, just run a damned piece of cat5 and call it a day, idiot.

I can only get my WiFi to work by left clicking the NetworkManager in the task bar and selecting “Connect to hidden Networks” Then a window pops up that lets you input the hidden Network Information Including the Name and the Password. Once done I hit OK and I can then connect to the internet. Problem is I have to do this each time I startup my PS3

Hey I’m installing Ubuntu 8.1 on my PS3 and it can’t find my wireless, even with DHCP. Any ideas? I tried putting in my ip address but it didn’t work.

This is the longest install ever. I fell a sleep waiting for this thing to get done. And when i awoke it still wasn’t done. Went to bed got up and I am still installing. There is no way that this is a 45 min. install. It took the PS3 two and a half hours to format. I can not comment on Ubuntu yet but I will not have any complaints seeing that I am doing this just for emulation. I use TVersity for all my divx and mp4, so no need to use vlc and mplayer.
