Gizmodo has published a tutorial on how to get some classic game emulation running on your PSUbuntu console. It covers the entire process from installing Ubuntu 8.10 to having SNES9X running with bluetooth sixaxis controllers.
There are lots of references to the PSUbuntu forums, including what the author have dubbed “the greatest moment in geek troubleshooting forum history“. So thanks to everyone involved in the community!

Instead of using this guide, for a very nice speed improvement and a nicer interface convert SNES9X GTK RPM from YDL 6.1 (search for PS3 BODEGA) into a .DEB with ALIEN! Trust me this is very easy to do and it’s worth it big time! I’m still surprised that UBUNTU does not include SNES9x GTK!

Thanks for the tip of porting SNES9X GTK to Ubuntu/Debian Mihai Olimpiu-Cristian
I have tried different settings but it still seems to lag. I have tried running the emulator in fullscreen, windowed etc. but doesn’t seem to matter.
I have some problems though with this emulator. The sound lags quite a lot
Anyone have any ideas ?
